Do You Know Your Disinfectants Dwell Time?

Time, everything comes down to time. Time has always been a precious gift. Time is the one thing we all wish we had more of. I'm sure we can all agree that the challenges we face during the SARS- Cov-2 Pandemic have not been a good time for anyone.

One time that consistently gets looked over is "dwell time". Most people overlook this little detail on the labels of their disinfectant cleaners and wipes. We've all done it, a quick application to a surface and an instant wipe away. We move on with our lives feeling protected. We wish this was true but in reality it is not.

Dwell time is the calculated amount of time for a disinfectant to do its job and break down harmful pathogens. Often referred to as "Kill Time" or "Turn Around Time". This time is critical to our safety and the safety of those around us. Did you know that most of these disinfectants require the area to be cleaned with soap and water before application? Please see the link we have provided from the EPA website on dwell times and how to better protect yourself.
